VisionQuest Just Dropped Its First Trailer — Here’s Who’s In It
Marvel finally pulled back the curtain on VisionQuest, the WandaVision spin-off that’s been rumored, delayed, and speculated about for what feels like forever. The teaser is short, moody, and doesn’t waste a single second — and if you’ve been waiting for White Vision to get his own story, this is the first real look at what that story’s going to feel like.
So what actually happens in it?
The show picks up with the “White Vision” who walked out of Westview at the end of WandaVision — same memories as the original Vision, none of the warmth that used to come with them. The trailer leans hard into that identity crisis: he’s wearing a familiar face, going through familiar motions, but something underneath doesn’t add up. There’s a house that keeps getting more crowded than he’d like, a family that may or may not be “real” in the way he remembers it, and — in classic MCU fashion — a very unwelcome guest letting himself back in.
That guest is Ultron, and his return alone tells you this isn’t going to be a quiet, contemplative character study. Expect some genuine tension between Vision trying to figure out who he is and Ultron trying to make sure that answer benefits nobody but himself.
Who’s actually in the cast
Paul Bettany is back as Vision, obviously — this show doesn’t work without him. James Spader returns too, voicing Ultron, which is reason enough to get excited if you were a fan of Age of Ultron’s villain. Beyond the two big names, the supporting cast is stacked with MCU regulars stepping back into familiar tech: James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S. and Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y. both make appearances, alongside Henry Lewis voicing D.U.M.-E. On the newer side, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, and Faran Tahir round out the cast in roles Marvel hasn’t fully detailed yet — though fan speculation is already pointing at ties to Wanda and Vision’s twin sons from WandaVision.
Why this matters if you watched WandaVision
VisionQuest is being positioned as one of two direct follow-ups to WandaVision’s loose threads, the other being Agatha All Along. If you finished WandaVision wanting to know what happened to White Vision after he flew off, or whether Wanda’s sons were really gone for good, this is the show aiming to answer that. No official release date yet, but production has been underway for a while and Marvel clearly thinks this trailer was ready to make some noise.
