Aloysius Pang’s embalmer, The Life Celebrant owner Angjolie Mei, shared on Facebook her experience of preparing his body for the funeral.
In the Facebook post, Angjolie Mei said she could not sleep the night she heard the news of Aloysius Pang’s death.
Angjolie Mei said that she held her tears back when the lid of the coffin opened. Her heart broke.
But she had a job to do, which was to make Aloysius Pang’s body presentable. “To make you presentable. To make you stylo milo. To make you yantao yantao.” she wrote.
It was the first time Angjolie Mei came in close contact with Aloysius Pang.
She and her team changed Aloysius into a black outfit, trimmed his stubbles, and brushed his signature eyebrows carefully, and gently touched up his face and hair.
“Now, you are ready to walk down the red carpet.” she wrote.
She continued on saying “With a very heavy heart, I bid your farewell as it was time to send you home to an anticipatory crowd. Till we meet again.”

Aloysius Pang died while he was participating in Exercise Thunder Warrior, at Waiouru Training Area, New Zealand on 23 Jan 2019. He was crushed between the gun barrel of a howitzer and its cabin. He was “unable to get out of the way” as the barrel was lowered.
