Bernie Sanders, a U.S. Senator from Vermont tweeted his intention to run for President of and candidate for President of the United States.

Bernie Sanders was born on September 1941 and is 77 years old this year.

In the year of 2020 that would make Bernie Sanders 79 years old.

“I’m running for president. I am asking you to join me today as part of an unprecedented and historic grassroots campaign that will begin with at least 1 million people from across the country.” tweeted Bernie Sanders yesterday.

Bernie Sanders announced his candidacy in an early morning email to supporters, pledging to build a vast grassroots movement to confront the special interests that he said dominate government and politics.

In one of Bernie Sanders tweets he said, “What’s crazy is that we have a president who is a racist, a sexist, a xenophobe and a fraud. We are going to bring people together and not only defeat Trump but transform the economic and political life of this country.”

On Donald Trump’s tweeter account, we catch one tweet of him mention about Bernie Sanders which says, “Crazy Bernie has just entered the race. I wish him well!”

As of the time of this post, Bernie Sanders has tweeted that $6million has been raised so far from 225,000 contributors, making it an average donations to be $27.
